Help! You calculated my score incorrectly!
Before you dash off an angry email to the Pick6 administrator,
please check to make sure there really is a problem. By far
the majority of the complaints I receive are caused by one of
the following problems:
Late Picks. Picks are due in by 6:00am, race local time,
on the first day of practice. Picks that are not received by that
deadline may be rejected (and will, even if accepted, be flagged
as late). A late pick that attempts to change an existing pick
will not be scored. You will still receive the confirmation
email saying your pick has been entered, but it will not be used.
A late pick, when there is no other pick already made, may
be accepted, at the discretion of the Pick6 administrator. All late
picks are subject to review, and may be disallowed at a later date.
Don't risk having a pick rejected - submit your pick before the deadline.
Post-Race Changes. As we saw at the recent Australian Grand Prix,
sometimes the race results change after the chequered flag waves. If
you think you are not getting the right number of points, check to see
if the official race finishing order is really what you think it is.
The first thing to do, if you think you have been given an incorrect
score, is to check for either of these conditions. You can do this
by clicking on the Query link in the main Pick6 page Results
section, and supplying your username. This will take you to a page
that shows your score for the race. There is also a button marked
"Review Your Pick". Clicking on this button will take you to a page
that has details of any pick or picks that you made (including late
picks), the results of the race, and how your score was calculated.
Check this page carefully - this usually explains any discrepancy
between what you thought you should have scored and the actual score.
If you still believe that your score has been calculated incorrectly,
please include a copy of the pick confirmation email in your mail to
the Pick6 adminstrator.
